Bohemian Wedding Highlight at Heritage Square in Phoenix, AZ

So many boho vibes with Angela and Tim’s wedding at Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. From the bride’s flowy dress to earth tone color palette to enchanting florals. It was honestly reminiscent of an enchanted fairy-tale wedding. The star of the show, besides the couple, was the handmade macrame hanging that served as the backdrop of the ceremony. I was able to repurpose it by relocating it as the backdrop of the sweetheart table for the reception. Being able to maximize decor is always a great planning idea—think about what decor you can re-use. This can be items from the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or other wedding-related activities. And having your Arizona wedding day-of coordinator move it from one spot to another is just one of the many benefits of hiring a coordinator.

Their venue, Heritage Square, is comprised of several quaint areas. The historical, Rossen House, is a two-story Queen Ann brick home with a wrap-around porch built in 1895. A brick walkway leads past a large, grassy park to the Lath Pavilion. Here is where the wedding ceremony and receptions happen. Next to the pavilion is a botanical garden with a gazebo. All makes for a lovely setting—a little suburban vibe in an urban environment. With all its amenities, the one, very important, aspect that it doesn’t have is wedding coordination services. This is a city-owned property so when you rent it, there is no venue coordinator to assist with the day-of wedding duties. It’s very much a “hands-off” rental. Because they also offer no rentals (tables, chairs, etc) there are outside vendors that need to be contracted to provide as well as directive of set-up for all the arriving vendors. These reasons are why hiring an Arizona wedding coordinator or planner is crucial. There are too many moving parts on the wedding day to also accomplish as bride or groom, nor do you want to pass along such a large responsibility to friends or family. This way you’ll look back on your wedding as a worry-free day and not one that brought you stress.
