I love when couples embrace the Southwest landscape of Arizona and there's no better venue to showcase the desert beauty than the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Kacia and Anthony did an amazing job of selecting decor that complimented the arid terrain. The centerpieces were a lovely mix of mercury glass votives, white pillar candles atop gold pedestals and various flowers ranging in color from ivory to blush with a pop of burgundy. My favorite moment came during the reception when Anthony's mother, who is from Bulgaria, welcomed Kacia into the family by feeding her home baked pitka bread (a symbol of hospitality). You could just feel the love in that moment knowing how this Bulgarian tradition was important to the groom's family and the joy Kacia received from it. It was moving to see two families truly becoming one.
Happy-Ever-After to Kacia & Anthony! ~Janet
